Maseru Sun 2012 Back to School shakes town

By Makhozi Foko - POSTED ON 31st JANUARY 2012

Maseru Sun International held their ever popular annual back to school gala on Saturday evening at Maseru Sun Hotel. This widespread event brought back the memories to the now professional people and business men around the country, where each person attending put on their school uniform.

CHANTING STUDENTS

This year it was well attended and the hall was jam packed while over a hundred pupils paraded on the entrance and drive way chanting their old-school tunes. Mabahlakoana Motemekoane Events Promoter of Sun International was highly pleased with the attendance but a bit stunned by the larger number of people that exceeded 450 that their hall could accommodate.

“Only 400 tickets were prepared for this event but I’m surprised to see people coming in large numbers, it’s evident that this is a trend. But I still urge people to buy tickets in advance so that we could always make a plan to accommodate them, we expect everyone coming here to have fun.”said Motemekoane
In the interim special prizes were awarded to incomparable students by ACHIEVER Magazine, Vodacom, Maluti Mountain Brewery and Sun International.

BEST DRESSED STUDENTS

The best dressed students were Thabo Maretlane and Mots'elisi Motlomelo while the well behaved students’ prizes went to Nkema Ramahloko and 'Masello Panyane. The Fun would not complete without picking the wittiest students’ prizes. Those were the regular event attendant Ts'eliso Mpeta and Monts'eng Tlebere who acted the heavily expecting high school girl while Daniel Moalosi and 'Makekeletso Seabane were the worst dancing students.
